As an Account Executive covering an East Coast territory, you will be responsible for building relationships and guiding leads through our consultative sales process. It will be your job to cultivate strategic relationships with a district’s community, sharing best practices and serving as a trusted thought partner with school and district leaders. This role reports to the Manager of Field Sales (East) and is an individual contributor position with no direct reports at this time.
Responsibilities
- Manage an East Coast territory by proactively identifying and sourcing leads in the K-12 education sector to drive revenue growth through new client acquisition and expansion of existing accounts.
- Build strong, consultative relationships with school administrators by understanding their challenges, providing thought leadership, and sharing relevant success stories of K12 Insight’s clients.
- Guide clients through a consultative sales process, prioritizing knowledge sharing and expertise over traditional sales tactics to achieve specific booking targets.
- Oversee the entire sales process, from initial contact to deal closure, ensuring a seamless experience for clients.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Marketing, Client Success, and Product, to enhance client satisfaction and retention.
- Stay up-to-date with school district news and developments within your assigned territory, focusing on key issues such as school choice, strategic planning, and boundary changes.
- Create and present comprehensive proposals that align K12 Insight’s solutions with the unique needs of each client.
- Provide regular updates on territory performance, forecasting, and pipeline metrics to Sales leadership.
- Represent K12 Insight at industry conferences and events to expand the company’s network and presence.

Requirements
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in district-level sales of SaaS/technology products within the K-12 education sector, with a successful track record of enterprise-wide sales to Superintendents and IT departments.
- Demonstrated trusted relationships with cabinet-level leaders within school districts across the East Coast.
- Proven ability to independently source leads and initiate new business opportunities.
- Proficiency in effectively navigating conferences to build relationships and identify potential business opportunities.
- A customer-focused approach, acting as an advocate for prospects and clients rather than a traditional salesperson.
- A consistent record of outperforming expectations.
- Experience working in a high-performing sales environment characterized by structured processes and a high level of accountability.
- Experience in selling Workforce Management and/or IT Operations Software is a plus.
Location: This is a remote position with travel requirements. The primary territory for this role will cover states along the East Coast. The role requires approximately 35% travel. #LI-Remote

The expected base pay salary range for this position is $100,000 - $120,000 / year with the opportunity to participate in the sales commission plan. The salary range represents the low and high end of the base pay salary range for this position, and is subject to change. Exact pay will be based on factors including but not limited to a candidate’s experience and skills, market demands, internal parity and organizational needs.
