We partner with districts to provide expertise and tools to garner feedback that identifies gaps and opportunities impacting all aspects of district and school environments. 

As an Education Researcher, you will work with school district leaders and internal team members to identify, create, and conduct surveys, focus groups, workshops, and other engagement opportunities that are designed to help school districts listen to and engage their communities around key issues by using tested, valid, and reliable research techniques. You will collect, review, analyze, and deliver key data points and analysis to yield solutions for K-12 school district clients and partners. This role reports to the Director of Research Operations, and is an individual contributor position with no direct reports. 

 

Responsibilities

- Develop and oversee research initiatives that support the goals of clients and partners.

- Manage research workflow for assigned projects, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality insights and a positive client experience.

- Collaborate with internal teams and district leaders to design surveys, focus groups, and workshops that utilize tested, valid, and reliable research techniques.

- Collect, analyze, and report on data to identify key trends, insights, and recommendations for clients and partners.

- Conduct literature reviews to inform research initiatives.

- Apply statistical analysis to draw conclusions from research data.

- Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including school district leaders, community members, and research partners, establishing trust and credibility as a research expert and thought leader.

- Present research findings to clients, effectively communicating insights and recommendations in a clear and compelling manner.

- Stay current on research methods, best practices, and public education trends to enhance research quality.

- Act as a subject matter expert and K12 Brand Ambassador sharing research findings and insights at conferences and other public forums.

- Drive client retention and expansion by identifying opportunities for growth and proactively mitigating potential risks.

- You are able to multitask in an entrepreneurial environment without sacrificing accuracy and thoroughness.

- You possess a strong sense of personal responsibility.

 

Requirements

- Master’s Degree in Education, Statistics, Research Methodology, Business Administration, Psychology, Sociology, or a related field. 

- 3+ years of experience in Education, Research, or related experience.

- Knowledge of statistical software (e.g., SPSS, RStudio), data analysis and interpretation.

- Prior project management experience is highly preferred.

 

Location: This role can be based in our Herndon, Virginia, headquarters or work-from-home anywhere in the USA. We will consider candidates located anywhere in the United States. The expected travel for this role is 10%. #Li-remote

The expected salary range for this position is $80,000 - $90,000 / year with the opportunity to earn additional compensation pursuant with K12 Insight’s corporate bonus plan. The salary range represents the low and high end of the salary range for this position, and is subject to change. Exact pay will be based on factors including but not limited to a candidate’s experience and skills, market demands, internal parity and organizational needs.
